Comfort
- Make her comfy on the sofa or in bed and give her a hot water bottle (or a microwave heat pack) to warm her abdomen or lower back.
- Run a warm bath and get her to take a long soak. You could also add aromatherapy oils to help her relax.
- Gently rub her abdomen or give her a back massage.
- Suggest that she doesn't wear tight clothes just before and during her period.
If you've tried everything under the sun and period pain is still making your daughter's life a misery, it's worth asking your GP for advice.
